Ontario County Divorce Records

Ontario County divorce records are official documents generated by the court process for ending matrimonial ties between two individuals. In New York, the Supreme Court handles divorce actions while the Family Court oversees cases involving custody, visitation, support, paternity, and family offenses. Ontario County divorce records are generally not available to the public; they are sealed and open only to the divorcing parties or their attorneys.

Please note that divorce decrees are available to eligible parties through the Ontario County Clerk's Office, which is separate from the Ontario County Family Court Clerk's Office.
